It’s time to get pissed. The U.S. law that would turn Google, Facebook, and Twitter into legally immune government spies just passed the House.

This bill affects everyone — not just U.S. citizens. Anyone with a Facebook account could now have their data shipped directly to the U.S. government. That’s why Internet users overwhelmingly oppose this bill. Over 1.5 million people signed petitions against it. But Congress didn’t listen.

Does this remind you of something? Yep, this is the exact position we were in with SOPA last year. Then the Internet rose up and we made history with the SOPA strike.

This spring, we’re going to organize the largest online privacy protest in history to make sure that CISPA goes the same route as SOPA and doesn’t become the law that breaks the 4th Amendment. Are you in?

CISPA threatens our most basic rights. Privacy is important not just for our security but for our rights to freedom of expression. The giant tech companies that stood with Internet users against SOPA are not going to help us this time (but some of the large sites like Mozilla, Imgur, and Reddit are all against CISPA and we love them).

Only a massive grassroots outcry will stop this bill. We’re starting to build the tools. But we need your help.

equal pay instead of men getting paid more

A man and a woman who have precisely the same occupation do get paid the same amount. The difference in earnings comes from the fact that, at this point in time, men have better jobs than women, largely because women just started joining the work force 50 years ago, and still aren’t as engrossed in it as men are. Since women going to college outnumber men, give it another decade, and you’ll see a big change.

Just because CNN is run by a bunch of fucking idiots doesn’t mean that all men are just A-Okay with rape.

If you’re hanging around people who think guys fucking around is alright, then get new friends.

Again, women in the work force is a very new thing, historically speaking. Give it some fucking time.

So we’re just gonna go with the degenerates of society for determining whether or not men treat women equally? The vast majority of men are appalled by the idea of a man hitting a woman.

You want to complain about lack of equality, lack of fairness, and then call all men pathetic?

Home Improvement, Everybody Loves Raymond, Friends, Flintstones, The Simpsons, these are all shows we grew up with, and all shows that depict utterly incompetent men, who can’t function on their own without a  woman. I realize the media crams a lot into women’s faces, as well. But from a very young age, I’ve been told by the world that I’m pathetic, hopeless, without a benevolent woman to guide me.

And I wanna make this clear. I’m not harping on you because you’re a woman. I’ve spent this time writing all this up, because I refuse to let you walk away from your computer, and feel good about going on giant, sexist diatribe. Everything you said was rude, ignorant, sexist, and arrogant.

There’s so much I want to say about his post and it’s comments, but to be honest I’m just kind angry at the whole thing.

Covering hatred in intelligent words doesn’t make it any less hateful. It’s right in the women can’t be sexist toward men. It goes against the “ism” mentality. Can they be spiteful and hateful? Sure. Not the issue here though.

As for the “Women in the Workforce being relatively new” thing, go look you facts up a bit more. Maybe you missed the whole women suing Wal-Mart thing. Or any other number of issues where women AREN’T being paid the same as men in an equal profession.

It’s fine that you want to debate this topic. It’s not fine that these topics are being debated by people who either don’t, or won’t, actually back up their “facts”.

I didn’t post anything last time I reblogged this but now I feel like I should. I agree it is unfair that women are paid less, regardless of how long women in the work force has been going on. I also agree that, if we are to debate this we need to look up our facts.

With that said my only problem with the above is the women can’t be sexist comments. That is like saying blacks can’t be racist because of slavery. Yes I just went there, I made that comparison. No I’m not taking it back.

 Anyone can be hateful, being racist, sexist, or any sort of bias is not unheard of for anyone. They all are wrong, but everyone is capable of them. But, now I’m getting off topic. This is about equality so here’s my 2 cents.

I feel that this generation talks a lot about it, but nothing is gonna change. Not until this generation is in power, and that won’t be for another 20 to 30 years when all the current old farts in the government retire and we have the majority. Only then will we see change, hopefully.

It’s sad but that’s what I feel will be the case. So yeah here’s to another few decades of ignorance and hate in hope that it will end when our generation finally does have the power. And here’s hoping when we have power it doesn’t corrupt us like it usually does.

Blacks can’t be racist. Women can’t be sexist. It goes against the definition of a “ism”. A minority can’t, from a position of power, take away the rights of a majority. I know it’s a fine line, but it’s a line that needs to be addressed. There is hate and there is subjugation. “isms” are the subjugation of a group of people. Hatred is just hatred.

I do -NOT- mean that women can’t be hateful and spiteful toward men. And on an individual level this will work. But those words are not individual terms. They’re used in relation to groups of people toward other groups of people.

I’m not one of the best people to hold this argument. I’m still learning some of the points that need to be made. I’m not perfect but I try to learn. 

Here’s the problem though neither of those groups are a minority. In THE WORLD the black to white ratio is very close and the male to female ratio is nearly half and half. So saying that one loses the minority argument WORLDWIDE.

And this “ISM” argument I’m seeing I would like to see some official sources as I have never heard that before. Again anyone can be racist, sexist, or any form of bias majority or minority. Where in any has any Sociologist, or other CERTIFIED practitioner of human behavior said that the minority is exempt from hate.

Again I am not arguing that one is worse than another just that both exist. 

Friends and loves ones, I need help! This is bigger than my knowledge will allow and I can no longer answer the questions that are being posed. I want the answers as much as the person before me, so for those of you in the process of teaching me, I now need that knowledge and opinion.
